I saw this assignment through by recruiting the photographer who had an extensive background on photographing the unhoused community, as well as developed the digital edit.

I worked on this long term project with the photographer by helping coordinate shoots while also doing on and off the clock editing sessions with the photographer.

I was the lead editor on this package. I coordinated with two photographers at two different locations and worked to make a fair and honest yet sensitive photo package.

I was the lead editor on this package. I contacted the sources as created a digital and print edit on the story.

I took on this assignment again by reaching out to a photographer with experience photographing the unhoused community, as well as coordinating with reporters who were also on the scene. I also created the digital and print edits.

I worked with the photographer and sports desk to remotely edit this exciting package.

I created the print and digital edit for this story.

Year in Photos 2023 Lead Student Editor

I served as the lead student editor of the 2023 Year in Photos project for the Columbia Missourian. Work included working with other editors, making final decisions, mocking up spreads and covers, ensuring accuracy in caption information, and creating the web edit for the online edition.
